Construction Opportunities

Wear close toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and come ready to WORK!

Habitat homes are built primarily by our Volunteers and Partner Families. No construction experience is needed because our skilled construction staff will be there to guide, provide training and supervise things from beginning to end. All tools, safety equipment and building materials will be provided.

Construction Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No Court Ordered Community Service on Jobsites

Construction Volunteer Schedule

We work Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am until noon.   Feel free to join us for an hour, 4 hours, or any time in between, however you must be vetted prior to volunteering.  Contact our Administrative Office at 352-563-2744 to find out how you can volunteer. ReStore Opportunities

You don’t have to lift a hammer to build a home!

Habitat ReStores sells gently used furniture, appliances, home decor, hardware and more! Our volunteers work alongside staff to do a variety of tasks such as sort donations, ensure the sales floor is clean and create a friendly shopping environment for our customers.

ReStore Volunteer Schedule

Tuesday – Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm

ReStore Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older (with parents permission). Minors, ages 16 to 17, must call 352-563-2744 to schedule an appointment to complete the vetting process. Parents must accompany them to complete the paperwork.

Can include Court Ordered Community Service under the following circumstances:

You are at least 16 years of age and HAVE NOT been charged with:

  • Crimes of breaking and entering
  • Crimes of a sexual nature.
  • Crimes involving weapons.
  • Felony theft, burglary and drug convictions.
  • Crimes of a violent nature.
