Cash Donations

Your monetary donations are the lifeline of our organization. They’re what keep us going strong. Without your support, we simply couldn’t offer affordable housing to the families who need it most.

Vehicles & Other Property

By donating a vehicle, you help us build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter. It’s quick and easy to donate a car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, construction equipment or other vehicle — running or not!

Plus, when you donate your vehicle, your donation may be eligible for a tax deduction! (Consult the IRS or your tax adviser for details.)

Legacy Giving with Habitat for Humanity honors those who plan ahead to improve the future. Your support can leave a lasting impact on Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County, Inc. Choose from various gift options that allow you to support our mission while providing for your family’s future.

Which Gift is Right For You?

Making a planned gift to Habitat for humanity of Citrus County, Inc. will have an impact that will be felt for generations to come, while also offering financial flexibility and tax benefits for you and your loved ones.

One of the easiest ways to further our vital work is remember us in your will or trust. Known as a bequest, this form of giving is accomplished by working with your attorney to include a few simple sentences in your will or trust. Visit freewill.com for help creating or updating your will.

When you designate us as a beneficiary of all or part of your retirement plan or IRA, the full amount will pass to us free of any income tax liability.

You can put a no-longer-needed policy to good use and have flexibility as the gift is revocable at any time should your situation change. To qualify as a deductible gift, Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County, Inc. must become the policy owner, so forward the change-of-beneficiary form to your insurance company.

ReStore Donations

Clear out clutter and help your community by donating new or gently-used items! Your donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off at either of our store locations during our business hours.

If you can’t drop off items, no worries! Schedule a pick up by calling 352-564-2300, and we’ll come to you.

Donation and Pick up Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 9:30am to 4:30pm

Join the Contractors Club

Become a part of our Contractor’s Club by pledging to support the construction of our homes. Through your annual donation, the Club provides Habitat with a reliable source of funding to allow us to plan ahead. Any level of donation makes a difference to families right here in Citrus County!

We build 30+ houses per year and work year round regardless of weather. To keep our construction team supplied with the tools and materials needed, we’re always raising money to meet the needs of building costs which are critically important to fulfill the needs of Citrus County families.
